Dr. Brian Poteet is Owner and President of Vital Rads Veterinary Teleradiology Consultants. Dr. Poteet, along with Dr. Werner and their team, is available daily to provide expert interpretation of our radiographs (x-rays). They are also available by appointment for onsite ultrasound examinations and by referral for more advanced imaging such as CT Scan, MRI, Bone Scans or Radio-Iodine Therapy for Feline Hyperthyroidism.
Dr. Poteet attended Texas A&M University where he obtained his undergraduate degrees: an M.S. in Veterinary Physiology, followed by a DVM in 1991. He then completed a 3-year residency program in veterinary radiology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
He served as the Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas, from 1994 to 2009. He is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiology, as well as by the American Board of Science in Nuclear Medicine. He is a visiting professor of radiology at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University and is in adjunct faculty member of the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research in San Antonio, Texas.
In addition to scientific publications, he has presented numerous presentations covering various topics including radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and magnetic resonance imaging. His special interests include veterinary nuclear medicine and ultrasound.

Dr. Bobby Werner is a Partner at Vital Rads Veterinary Teleradiology Consultants. Dr. Werner, along with Dr. Poteet and their team, is available daily to provide expert interpretation of our radiographs (x-rays). They are also available by appointment for onsite ultrasound examinations and by referral for more advanced imaging such as CT Scan, MRI, Bone Scans, or Radio-Iodine Therapy for Feline Hyperthyroidism.
Dr. Werner is a graduate of Texas A&M University. After graduating veterinary school in 2004, he accepted a position at a busy mixed animal practice in Navasota, Texas. These valuable years gave him a deep appreciation for general practice. Dr. Werner then entered a 3-year radiology residency at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. During his radiology residency, he worked weekly as an emergency clinician at 610 Animal Emergency Hospital. He completed his radiology board certification in September 2012 to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. Dr. Werner partnered with Dr. Poteet and VitalRads where he reads teleradiology cases and performs mobile imaging studies. Dr. Werner also serves as an adjunct professor at St. Matthews University School of Veterinary Medicine. He and his family enjoy spending time together in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and at sporting events.

Dr. Keith Blass is a consultant from Vital Rads Veterinary Teleradiology Consultants. Dr. Blass is available to provide rapid interpretation of ECG’s, cardiac radiographs, and echo-cardiograms.
Dr. Blass also provides us with medical consultation and recommendations for our cardiac patients.
A native of Long Island, Dr. Blass graduated from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Post-graduate Veterinary experiences include a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2009-10, followed by the completion of an M.S. and residency in Cardiology & Interventional Medicine at The Ohio State University from 2010-2013. Following residency, Dr. Blass worked as a staff cardiologist at a busy private practice in Washington, D.C. before venturing into telecardiology.
